Surgery Hours
Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm (Closed Weekends)
We don’t encourage walk-in’s as we run an appointment system. If you arrive at the surgery for an urgent appointment or just want to be seen by a Doctor, the reception staff will triage your condition and determine if your matter can be dealt with at the practice or if you will need to go hospital.
Wingham Family Health Clinic has a very strict policy for patients not attending booked appointments. If you need to cancel an appointment please phone 02 6553 4811.
You must give at least 2 hour’s notice to cancel an appointment, if your appointment is not cancelled and you do not attend there will be a $100.00 fee charged and this fee will have no medicare rebate.
No further appointments will be made on your behalf until this fee is paid. If this happens a second time, you will no longer be able to book an appointment at our surgery with any of our doctors.
Billing Arrangements & Fees
WFHC is not a bulkbilling surgery
Please pay at the time of the consult by cash, cheque, credit card or EFTPOS. If you have any difficulty paying our fee at any time, please do not hesitate to discuss it with us. A charge may be incurred (at the doctor’s discretion) for missed appointments.

Standard Consultation: $100.00
Long Consultation: $200.00
Prolonged Consultation: $300.00
After Hours & Emergency
If you are one of our regular patients and need to contact a doctor outside of office hours please ring 0427 534 811.
In the event that the phone is unanswered or if you feel you have an emergency, please hangup and dial 000. The nearest emergency department is Manning Base Hospital in Taree.
After hours services will not be bulk billed. Costs will range between $250.00 to $300.00 depending on the time of the consultation.
